About Us

Peta (UK) Ltd is a second-generation family business that was established in 1975.

Its founder, Lionel Crockett, was an innovator and entrepreneur who, having designed the first Easi-Grip® scissors, contacted Occupational Therapists to understand the variety of special needs of children and adults with physical disabilities. This led to the development of an extensive range of adapted scissors.

Since that time Peta (UK) Ltd has designed a range of Easi-Grip® garden tools and kitchen knives and utensils. Peta remains committed to universal design principles that benefit everyone, irrespective of age or ability.

Today Peta (UK) Ltd is owned and run by Lionel’s daughter Genny who has built a dedicated and successful team. Peta currently exports 60% of sales to distributors of Aids for Daily Living and products for Special Education in over 30 countries.
